With God All Things are Possible

I was meditating and just thinking about life in general when something very profound came to mind.  I said “something” but I know it was God.

There is a prevailing situation that does not directly involve me, however I am very close to it and to those involved.  In the natural it looks as if it is an impossible situation because it has gone on in its present state for nearly 3 years now.  But the thought came to me that if we serve a miracle working God there is nothing that is too hard for Him, regardless of how long, wide, or deep the problem is!  So if He performed one miracle, what is stopping Him from performing the next?  I believe the answer to the question lies within us. Our faith, our strength and desire to persevere, our hope.   Whenever I feel doubt creeping in, I redirect my thoughts to past miracles and circumstances that God has worked in my favor.  Yes, there have been many and within that vast number there have been some that humanly were deemed impossible!  But God’s capability is not predicated upon man’s ability to believe!

Have you ever performed a task that received rave reviews and your praises were sung to the housetop and then as time went on you wondered why you weren’t called upon to do something else?  It’s puzzling to say the least.   We’ve all accomplished great things and not only were we pleased with ourselves, but others heralded our praises as well.  Automatically you expect that surely you will be commissioned to do something else since you received such great accolades.  But you wait, and wait, and the invitation, the phone call, the contract never comes.  You say to yourself, how can this be when one day I’m the greatest thing since sliced bread and then it’s like out of sight, out of mind.  How quickly can they forget?  Well by now you should see where this train is going.

Don’t you see that God feels the same way?  He performs the impossible, the miraculous in our lives, and we witness the same being performed in the lives of others.  Yet, when another situation arises (very possibly more difficult) it’s like we succumb to spiritual amnesia. Not only is our faith not strong enough to believe for the next miracle, oftentimes we don’t even put it before Him.  Wow, how could we have the audacity to not even give Him the chance!   Jesus does not have huge requirements and stipulations by which He must work out the details of our lives.  He only requires faith in Him that He can and will do it!  I leave you with some very powerful scriptures that attest to that fact.

“Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible”  (St. Matthew 19: 26 NIV))

“And without faith it is impossible to please god, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”  (Hebrews 11: 6 NIV)
