Positive Affirmations

In a day and time where negative news and information is in abundance and often overwhelming, it is vitally important for our spiritual, emotional, and even physical wellbeing that we “feed” ourselves as much positivity that we can muster. We are hearing words spoken daily such as “we’re in a war”; “we’re fighting an enemy”; “death tolls are rising”, “unemployment is at an all-time high”. Yet, we know that there is a God who holds the power of the world in His hands. Therefore, it behooves us to fully understand that the words we speak, especially now, will determine our outcome. Proverbs 18: 21 so pointedly reminds us, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”

Within this week’s blog I am compelled to share a few daily affirmations you can speak over yourself and your family. Speak life and expect God to not only keep you and yours in the midst of this crisis but enable you to come out better and stronger than ever on the other side.

I have listed them for each day of the week, (and one for good measure) however, utilize them in a way that best encourages you. You may find that you need to stick with one and speak it into the atmosphere for several days at a time, multiple times a day. Whatever serves you best. In God we have everything we need!

Monday
I am blessed, I am healed, I am highly favored, I am secure, I am capable, I am shielded and protected, I am loved . . . I AM A CHILD OF GOD!

Tuesday
Today I surrender every thought in my mind to the will of God. I come against any negativity that opposes or hinders God’s plan for me.

Wednesday
The joy of the Lord is my strength! I chose happiness over sadness, faith over fear, prayer over panic, worship over worry, and abundance over lack!

Thursday
I stand firm on the promises of God which are true and sure. In Him I find peace that surpasses all understanding.

Friday
I am the workmanship of God. No good thing will He withhold from me. I anticipate the abundance of His blessings, and with that I will be a blessing!

Saturday
Daily I will exercise the power and authority of the Holy Spirit to cover and protect myself and my loved ones. He is our protector, our provider, our healer, and our comforter.

Sunday
I understand that my present situation is an opportunity for God’s purpose to be revealed in me. I delight in the privilege of seeking Him for the fulness of His plan.

And One For Good Measure
My body is healthy, my mind is strong, my spirit is controlled by the Spirit of God. In Him I am complete!
