Elder Leslie Hudson is the eldest daughter of Pastor Harold Ferguson and Sister Betty Ferguson. She was raised going to church, but knew from her early teen years there was more than just giving the preacher her right hand in fellowship. She had a yearning and desire fore more. At a watch night service at the Mother Church of God in Christ, in Wilmington, Delaware, her eyes were opened and she recognized she was a sinner in need of a Savior. From that morning, January 1, 1979, she never looked back. She began her ministry in theWord at the age of twenty-three. Though fearful she boldly proclaimed the Word of the Lord taking her text from 1 Corinthians 13 during a Wednesday night Bible Study at Mount Calvary Temple Church of God in Christ.

Elder Leslie Hudson joined the First United Church of Jesus Christ (Apostolic), under the pastorate of Bishop Monroe Saunders, Sr., on December 31, 1989. Since joining First a United, now known as Transformation Church of Jesus Christ, she has been actively involved in the ministry. She has served in the Nursery, Children’s Ministry, Sunday School teacher, and most recently coordinator of the Women 2 Women ministry. Currently Elder Hudson is the recording secretary of the Trustee Board and a member of the Abundant Light and Life Retreat Ministry, which is under the leadership of Mother Alberta Brockington Saunders. She has been blessed to preach and teach within the United States and Canada.

Elder Leslie Hudson matriculated in 1981 from the University of Delaware where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. She also has earned a Master Certificate in Project Management from The George Washington University and a Master in Management from the University of Phoenix. Currently Elder Hudson is pursuing a Master in Pastoral Counseling at Liberty University.

Elder Leslie Hudson is retired from Verizon Communications after 27 years of employment. During her career she was promoted several times. In her final position, as a second level manager, Elder Hudson was responsible for managing several multi-million dollar projects for Verizon. Currently she is employed with Baltimore County Public Schools as an administrative assistant to a high school principal. It is her desire that in this position she will be able to touch the lives of youth faced with many social and emotional challenges.

Elder Leslie Hudson has been married to Elder Larry Hudson for 26 years. They are the blessed parents of 20 year old twin boys, Joshua and Jonathan. There sons are proof that God still hears and answers pray. Finally, her desire is that the Lord will be glorified in ALL areas of her life and that when He cracks the sky she will hear Him say, “Well done good and faithful servant.”
