Dr. Simone Gibson
Dr. Simone Gibson was born in the beautiful island of Jamaica, West Indies. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior while watching a television broadcast in Jamaica. She rededicated her life to the Lord and was baptized during her junior year in college. The Lord has filled her with His Spirit and her constant prayer is that He will continue to fill her cup so that it overflows.
Believing in the importance of higher education and with the support of her family, Dr. Gibson has furthered her studies. She has received a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC), a Master’s Degree in Spiritual & Pastoral Care from Loyola College in Baltimore and the Doctor of Ministry Degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio with a concentration in Preaching and Leadership. Additionally, she has completed coursework for certification for Church Business Administration through the National Association of Church Business Administration (NACBA). She is an ordained elder in the United Church of Jesus Christ.
She has served for over 20 years at the Transformation Church of Jesus Christ first as the Executive Administrator. Her assignment now is to serve as the Executive Assistant to Bishop Monroe Saunders, Jr., D.Min., (Pastor of Transformation Church and Presiding Prelate of the United Church of Jesus Christ). Dr. Gibson has been a faithful member of the Transformation Church serving in a variety of ministries and leadership capacities over the years. Additionally, she is very active in the United Church of Jesus Christ serving in a variety of areas including as the chairperson of the Convocation Planning Council, the international committee responsible for the planning and organizing of the Annual International Holy Convocation. She serves as the Administrator & an Instructor for the UCJC Ministry and Leadership College. Formerly she served as the Adjutant General for the organization. She is believed to be the first female Adjutant General of an international organization.
Dr. Gibson is the President and CEO of Run Tell It Ministries, LLC, a ministry purposed to equip and empower lives to show forth HIS Glory. Run Tell It Ministries has facilitated a mentorship program for young women and hosted for two years the “Because of Who You are Conference.” In addition to her ministry responsibilities, Dr. Gibson is civic minded. She is a Board member of the Female Clergy Support Group of Maryland, a mentoring group for women in ministry and has created & facilitated a mentorship program for a local high school and Transformation Church. Her gifts include preaching, teaching, administration, leadership, wisdom, and exhortation. She has been blessed to minister in Canada, the Carribean and throughout the United States. Dr. Gibson has been married to Elder Daniel Gibson for over 23 years.
Her greatest desire is “to shew forth the praises of Him who hath called her out of darkness into His marvelous light”, to reveal God’s glory in all that she says and do and to be a blessing to His people”.
